With almost fifty competitors in the field, Kelli Cruciotti Vanderveen and Forever SFN sped through the jump off to claim third place in the FEI $37,000 CSI2* Welcome Stake. As multiple riders had already jumped double clear, Kelli and Forever switched into high gear to speed to a podium finish.
Maintaining their momentum, Kelli and Forever SFN returned for the FEI $75,000 CSI2* Grand Prix, one of just eight to jump clear in the first round among 41 entries. With an unfortunate rail in the jump off, the pair finished 7th for a great overall placing. Also competing aboard her young mare Isabella Van De Zuuthoeve, this pair was the fastest four faulter to place 11th.
In the hunter ring, Kelli piloted Gambler B and APG Livory to success in the $2500 USHJA Hunter Derby, taking home second and third place, respectively. Recently imported, APG Livory impressed us for her first time showing as a hunter. The pair also competed in the Green Hunters, including a class win and great ribbons in the division. Thank you to APG Stables for trusting us with this young horse’s development. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for this mare.
Next week, Kelli and the rest of the team will join Cindy in Kentucky for the National Horse Show. We’d like to thank our sponsors for keeping out horses happy and healthy, including GGT-Footing, Devoucoux, Platinum Performance and Weatherbeeta.
